Join Katie Crabtree and Vicky Sharples for a meandering walk through Abney Park to observe the deadwood, the graves, the living/dying pathways and the ecosystem to reflect upon our mortality. In keeping with Abney Park Cemetery’s history in radical thought, this workshop is intentioned to spark discussions to rethink death and dying narratives.

Join this Family Activity Walk to explore the animals past and present associated with Abney Park this Springtime. Learn about the animal history of the park while playing games and making crafts. Highlights include visiting the lion, learning about and listening to the park’s birds, and and making an all natural bird feeder. Perfect for children aged 5-10.

We are surrounded by nature yet, rarely, do we pause to encounter and experience it. Experienced local artist Christina Lovey is leading this workshop. She begins with an introduction to the concept of mindfully engaging with nature and then applying that engagement to creative expression using mark making, or drawing.
