Abney Park Summer Family Trail

This summer time join our Family Activity Walk to learn about historical herbal remedies, how to make them from plants and honey. You’ll play games, make crafts & go home with your own herbal remedy. 

Highlights:

*Find a pine cone & make your own pine cone bee to buzz around the park.

*Discover where bees live in Abney & see their very own monument.

*Work like a bee & play a pollination game. 

*Learn about Betsi Cadwaladr and how she helped soldiers recover from disgusting diseases using herbal remedies.

*Visit the war memorial & learn about the plants used by soldiers to treat wounds. 

*Create your own natural herbal remedy to take home! 

This session is run by Hackney Outdoors CIC and Never Tired of London. Tickets are £15 per child & accompanying adult. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please meet at the Church Street entrance. The Stoke Newington High Street entrance will be closed.

This workshop will last around 90 mins.
Please arrive 5 minutes early for the 1030am start.
Please wear suitably sturdy footwear.
There are no toilet facilities available.
