If you have any questions before you visit, you want to hire one of the spaces at Abney Park, or you have other queries, please check this page. We have provided the answers to some commonly asked questions.

We are open every day of the year.
We are closed for public safety when there is a yellow wind or weather warning over London.

Yes, there is no entry fee.

The main entrance on Stoke Newington High Street has level access.
The entrance at Church Street has a ramp and wider paths to increase accessibility.
The internal drive from the main entrance is cobbled and the major paths within the park are solid, but uneven in places and can be slightly muddy when wet.
Smaller paths can be narrow, uneven and slippery.

Dogs are allowed in Abney Park. We please ask that all dogs are kept in sight at all times, are under control and that dog waste is responsibly picked up. If you are bringing your dog to Abney Park, please be considerate of other users.

Parking can be available for those with accessibility needs - please contact usto arrange this.

Accessible toilets can be found in the Sable cafe building - this is on the right hand side of the forecourt, if you use the main entrance on Stoke Newington High Street. You do not need to go through the cafe to access the toilets.

The trees and memorials in Abney Park are looked after by Hackney Council. Please contact the Hackney Parks team.

Abney Park is not a working cemetery and there are no spaces available for new burials.
If you have an existing family grave, please contact Hackney Council.
