After dark bat walk and survey at Abney Park
Tuesday 24th June. Meet at 9.30pm at the Abney Park entrance on Stoke Newington High Street. The event is estimated to last between 1 and 1.5 hours, but this is subject to change.
Tickets: £10/£7
Take a walk with us around Abney after dark to look and listen out for the bats that fly and feed in Abney at night.
Our guide, Angela Clare, will lead the way, sharing bat facts and showing you how to use special detectors to identify what kind of bats are flying.
Please bring your own bat detector if you have one, and dress for the weather and uneven ground. Bring a torch if you can.
Any bats we spot will be recorded for the Bat Conservation Trust's Sunset Survey - something you can do at any time in your garden or any open space. For more info on the Sunset Survey, see https://bit.ly/3ZyBzLG.
Access information: level access at Stoke Newington High Street entrance, main paths are accessible, smaller paths can be less even and narrow. But there will be an accessible route available for this walk. Guide dogs on leads welcome.
