Alex Sargent

Treasurer

Alex joined the Trust in 2025 as Treasurer. He became a Northern exile to London in 1990 and has been living in North London ever since. Having qualified as a Chartered accountant a few years after moving to London, he worked in business for nearly 30 years, predominantly within Financial Services. More recently he has pivoted to activities within the voluntary sector, both volunteer roles, such as becoming Abney Park Trust treasurer, and more general consultancy for smaller charities.

Alex has a keen interest in local history as well as getting out and about London on foot. With family, friends or just on his own, he has spent a lot of time in the urban woodland of Abney Park and is very excited to be part of the future of this fantastic, community space.
