Join us on Sunday 9th November at the War Memorial in Abney Park Cemetery to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.
The ceremony will combine traditional elements of a Remembrance Sunday ceremony, with Councillor Antoinette Bramble giving a short speech. There will also be a variety of music – including classical music, and remembrance songs from different traditions sung by local choir, the Morris Folk choir.
Set in the beautiful grounds of the cemetery, which is a site of many Commonwealth War Graves, this will be an opportunity to spend time remembering those civilians and soldiers who lost their lives in conflicts across the world.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them."
