Free guided walk - deepen your connection with nature

Join our ecology trustee, Martina Girvan, on a New Year’s Day walk to inspire you to connect with nature as 2024 begins. We work to protect this beautiful nature reserve in the heart of Stoke Newington, supporting the well being of the local community.

Martina is a Chartered Ecologist with over 25 years experience. Her vision is a future when the benefits of biodiversity are centred within development and land management and the opportunity to enjoy these benefits is available to all. Abney Park is a fabulous example of a place that provides cultural, spiritual, recreational, educational, social and biodiversity benefits as well as contributing to better air quality and climate resilience. Abney is a magical place where biodiversity and cultural heritage co-exist and Martina is excited to have the opportunity to support the park and the Trust to maintain and maximise these benefits that are so important to a local and increasingly global community.
