Sign up now to join an autumnal fungi foray and craft experience at Abney Park on November 6th at 11am-1pm, to celebrate the park’s varied and wonderful fungi.
The London Fungus Network will lead an exploration and identification walk, where you’ll learn about some of the park’s many magical and wonderfully-named fungi, such as Jelly Ears, Dead Man’s Fingers, King Alfred’s Cakes and more.
Then join nature wellness and Forest School team Hackney Outdoors for a mushroom-inspired arts & crafts session, to create an Instagram-worthy mini mushroom forest from natural materials such as clay, sticks, berries and more.
(Please note: foraging and picking for fun is not permitted at Abney Park. This event is fully supervised.)
This event is for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
From the Stoke Newington High Street entrance, please meet at the far end of the pedestrian walkway - where the path splits into three (near the dark green cabins).
This event will last around 120 mins.
Please arrive 5 minutes early for the 11am start.
Please wear suitably sturdy footwear.
There are no toilet facilities available.
Please check your emails on the morning of the event - we may need to cancel at short notice if there is adverse weather.
