What was lurking in the shadows of 1800s society that bled out onto the pages of works like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein? Why does this classic tale of technology and ambition gone hideously wrong still resonate today? What's the connection to the radical history of Abney Park and the rich rebel heritage of Hackney? Hosted by local guide, writer and storyteller Hackney Tours (as seen at Stokey Lit Fest etc), this adventure will help you see Abney Park and Hackney in a different way, and possibly even the contemporary psychic landscape.
