About this event

In Summer 2021, work is due to start on a National Lottery Heritage funded improvement project to restore the Chapel in Abney Park as well as refurbish the existing buildings, build new community facilities and a new interpretation café.

Hosted by Hackney Council in partnership with Abney Park Trust, this talk by Mike Kaner introduces the Abney Park Restoration Project, looks in more detail at the buildings in this incredible site, and talks through what the site will be like when work is complete.

Mike Kaner is the architect that has been working on the plans for Abney Park since the beginning of the project. Mike has been the Director of Kaner Olette architects since 2007 and has worked on a number of contemporary, new build and sensitive refurbishment projects, including many listed buildings. He also recently oversaw the redevelopment of the cafe in Woodberry Wetlands.
