Join More Curriculum and Abney Park Trust on 17th October for a walk in this beautiful nature reserve to visit the graves of some of the notable black men and women from history who found their final resting place in Abney. From a pioneering missionary, to a genre breaking author; from a boy who died very far from home, to a woman whose father led the fight against slavery.

Each walk lasts about 30 minutes, and will start at 11 am, 12:30 and 2pm.

Meeting point:
Please meet inside the Abney Park main entrance on Stoke Newington High Street - near the interpretation sign on the left (opposite the café side). Please arrive 5 - 10 minutes before the start time.
The tour is estimated to last approximately 30 minutes.

Please check your emails on the morning of this tour - we may need to cancel if the weather is unfavourable. For example, for safety reasons, Abney is usually closed if there is a yellow weather warning for wind.

Please note that for data protection reasons we do not allow filming or audio recording of our tours or talks.

Access information:
There is level access at the Stoke Newington High Street entrance, the main paths are accessible, the smaller paths can be less even and narrow. Please wear shoes that are suitable for walking on potentially muddy paths.
