09 Lives present the Emperor's New Clothes as a modern take on an old morality tale. This show is for all the family and tells the story of how a powerful leader was convinced he was wearing the very, very best. And that he was the very, very best. Only to be told the truth by a child who could not see anything to admire.
This fun production will be staged in the open air, with the audience following the action through Abney Park. The show will have music, interaction with the audience and puppets, creating a world where we can explore how important it is to question and challenge perceived "norms".
Previous shows by 09Lives in Abney Park are, The Changeling (BBC Radio Pick of the Week), The Valour of Robin Hood (4 stars, ""a magical evening") and the SOLD OUT Hound of The Baskervilles (4 stars "one of the best promenade shows I have ever seen"). Featuring Dan de la Motte as The Emperor of Stokey, Gary Cain as Mason and Sarah J Warren as Maisonette. (Image by SHANKSY from an original photo by Ray Malone)
