Cllr Patrick Pinkerton
Patrick Pinkerton is an education professional who has spent the last 15 years in a variety of research, teaching and administrative roles in secondary and higher education. In his current role in a busy comprehensive school Patrick teaches A Level Government and Politics and advises students on their post-18 progression plans.
Born in Belfast and spending eight years studying in Manchester (where he gained his PhD in International Politics), Patrick moved to Hackney in 2012. He instantly fell in love with the borough, with its combination of bustling town centres and peaceful green spaces: something perfectly encapsulated by the wonderful Abney Park nestled within Stoke Newington.
In 2024 Patrick was incredibly proud to be elected to represent the residents of Cazenove ward in Hackney Council, and to become a father to a Hackney-born daughter. He looks forward to working with the other trustees to maintain Abney Park’s precious status as a local sanctuary and historical landmark within Hackney.
