Join us on Sunday 5 April for an opportunity to view inside the newly restored Chapel. If you just want to see the inside of the Chapel, please feel free to drop in at any time between 11:00 and 13:00.
In addition at midday, Abney Park Trust are hosting a 30 minute long talk, about Abney resident, Rebecca Jarrett, activist and one time sex worker. Come and learn about her extraordinary life and how her courage, faith and relationship with the Salvation Army helped to change Victorian laws to better protect girls and young women. Please join us, with the opportunity ask questions, to explore and to photograph the interior of the Chapel.
We would also like to gather stories from local people about their memories of the Chapel - come and share yours with us. Information about Abney Park Trust will also be available on the day.
Looking forward to Sunday 3 May, the chapel open day will be focused on celebrating 186 years since the foundation stone for the Chapel was laid in May 1840.
Because Abney can get quite muddy in winter, we would request no dogs in the chapel.
Toilets and baby changing facilities available.
