We look forward to welcoming you at the Stoke Newington High Street entrance of Abney Park for a community lantern walk. If you made a leaf lantern with us over half term, bring this along, otherwise we can lend you one. We will gather to light our lanterns and sing together, then follow along a short walk under the trees at dusk, with our lanterns lighting the way through the darkness.
We will provide LED tealights - please note that live flame candles are not permitted in the park. Please don't bring any torches, this disrupts the wildlife of Abney Park and takes away from the magic of following our lanterns as dusk falls.
This walk is for children aged 4+ and their parents/carers - ideally buggies and dogs will be left at home . Children need to be with their parent/carer at all times along the walk, with a maximum of two children being supervised by each adult. As this event runs after park closing time, everyone attending will need a free ticket.
Access information: We will be following the main paths which have level access, as is the High Street entrance. Accessible facilities available on request. Bike parking will be available inside the park by the High Street entrance.
