Join Katie Crabtree for a walk through Abney Park to observe the deadwood, graves, living/dying pathways and ecosystem to reflect upon our mortality. In keeping with Abney Park’s history in radical thought, this workshop is intentioned to spark playful, joyful discussions to rethink death and dying narratives.
Facilitated by Katie Crabtree, a fellow mortal being interested in living and dying pathways, open discussion from all participants is welcomed!. This is an outdoor event so please come prepared for all weathers.
Our focus is the organic matter that makes up all living things. Abney Park, both an urban nature reserve and burial ground, is a perfect place to observe pathways of living and dying. We will share our observations on life, death, decay, and rebirth in this playful workshop.
Please wear sturdy shoes. The meeting point is the Stoke Newington High Street entrance to Abney Park (level access) - there are accessible toilet facilities and baby changing available in the cafe on your right as you enter the gates.
Please note: We may need to cancel at short notice if the weather is inclement - please check your emails on the morning of the walk that you have booked.
