Come to Abney park this autumn and learn about how trees, plants and mushrooms have helped support human health and wellness through war and peacetime.
Identify some of the trees of Abney in autumn
Walk through a tree lined path and discover a hidden corner of the park
Visit the war memorial & learn some autumnal wartime plant stories where schoolkids saved the day
Learn about Betsi Cadwaladr and how nurses used to use mushrooms and plants to heal wounds
Play a fun mushroom treasure hunt game to develop your ‘nature eyes’ - watch out for the toxic Deathcap!
Make your own autumnal leaf crafts to take home.
This session is run by Never Tired Of London and Hackney Outdoors.
Tickets are £15 per child & accompanying adult.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
