Fantastic opportunity: we are looking for a volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees

This is a brilliant opportunity to be actively involved in one of London's most interesting urban spaces.  

We are looking for a new volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. The role description is here.

The independent charity Abney Park Trust works to promote Abney’s history, ecology and community engagement. The park has been subject to a transformative National Lottery Heritage Fund restoration project over the last few years.  

We work closely with Hackney Council who manage the day-to-day operations of the park.

We achieve our aims through events and engagement. Our turnover is in the range of £50 - £60k a year - a mix of small grants and income generated through our activities.  

The Treasurer is part of an active volunteer board of Trustees. We employ up to three part time staff (currently one in post).

This is a great opportunity to learn about community engagement and running a micro organisation at the heart of Hackney in a wonderful urban green space.
