Running for Abney Park Trust
Unfortunately the London Marathon has been postponed to 4 October 2020 as a result of the coronavirus outbreak
Ben Weitzman, an American law student who lives in California, will be running his first London Marathon on behalf of Abney Park Cemetery, one of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ Victorian garden cemeteries of London.
Explaining why he has chosen to help fundraise for Abney Park Trust he said:
"A British friend showed me Abney Park on my first visit to London and it was a magical experience. As such I've returned many times since to enjoy its hauntingly beautiful landscapes.
The 2020 London Marathon will be my first marathon and I want to make it special by running for a good cause – supporting the work of Abney Park Trust in running community events and activities in Abney Park such as theatre, guided walks and tours and fayres to draw in visitors and increase their knowledge of the history and ecology associated with Abney."
Please support Ben's fundraising campaign and donate whatever you can.
