Cafe tender and artisan workshop plans launched for post-restoration Abney

Abney Park’s restoration process is well underway – and there’s now a chance for businesses and artisans to express their interest in being part of the park’s post-restoration life.

Hackney Council has recently published a cafe tender as part of its search for a business to run the new cafe near the park’s High Street gates, as well as the new community premises.

The cafe will be a community hub and will feature history and information about the park.

The tender closes on 20th February 2023. You can find out more here.

And work is now also underway to meet potential tenants for the park’s new artisan workshops.

There’ll be no fixed rent level, and offers are requested. The workshops cover around 215 sq ft or 20 sq m each – and they’re available from spring/summer 2023.
