Join Abney Unearthed for a tour held in recognition of War Graves Month. Learn more about the lives of those who died in service who are buried in Abney Park - including those with Commonwealth War Grave Commission memorial stones and those commemorated on the headstone of their family grave.
Occurring on the first Sunday of every month and led by Abney Park Trust, this tour focuses on Abney Park's uniqueness – from its diverse permanent residents to the striking funerary architecture, as well as its historic dual function as both burial ground and arboretum since it opened in 1840.

On the first Sunday of every month, join us to explore the newly restored Abney Park Chapel and learn about it’s history. At midday, Abney Park Trust are hosting a 30 minute long talk, giving an insight into the history of the Chapel, with the opportunity ask questions, to explore and to photograph the interior.
Back by popular demand, The Enchanted Cinema presents The Snowman at Abney Park for another winter. This interactive show is ideal for children aged 4+ and their grown-ups who team up to become the magical orchestra.
On 23rd January 1909, Latvian revolutionaries attempted to steal the payroll wages of factory workers in Tottenham. This resulted in a wild chase across the Hackney Marshes involving hundreds of people. Join Alan Gartrell to hear the story of this extraordinary event.
