Music Hall Tour & History Tour

Abney Park's monthly music hall tours are hosted by the chairman of The Music Hall Guild of Great Britain and America. These walks vividly illuminate the amazing lives of some huge Victorian music hall stars, whose colourful lives should never be forgotten.

Stars like the great George Leybourne aka Champagne Charlie, the coster's laureate Albert Chevalier, burlesque star Nelly Power (the original singer of 'The Boy I Love Is Up In The Gallery'), pantomime dames and comedians Herbert Campbell and Dan Crawley, music hall vocalists Fred Albert and Walter Laburnum, Gaiety Theatre star Edmund Payne and many more.

At 3 pm, come for a relaxing and entertaining stroll through dappled sunlight around one of London's most intriguing Victorian cemeteries and unique urban nature reserves. Learn about Abney Park's rich history, about some of the characters laid to rest here and about its diverse flora and fauna. This extremely informative tour is led by John Baldock.
