Children’s Bird Walk and Workshop

They laugh, they drum, they make holes in trees: come to Abney Park and look (and listen) for woodpeckers; for the smallest bird in Europe (3.5 cm long); and for birds that visit us for the summer.

Start with an art/craft session to make the birds that we are looking for (you can take your art home), and listen to their songs and calls. Then take a walk to look for woodpeckers, goldcrests, warblers and the other wildlife of Abney.

The walk is for children aged 6-12 years, who must be accompanied by an adult parent/guardian. There is a maximum of 10 children on each walk and workshop.
