Spoon Carving

Bowl Carving

Using an axe, an adze and gouges, learn how to make your own carved wooden bowl. Not suitable for beginners.
Friday 10th March, 9 am - 4 pm.  £75 (£60 concessions)

 

Knife Skills 

Hone your knife skills in this workshop. Suitable for beginners or those with more experience.
Saturday 11th March, 10 am - 3 pm.  £50

APRIL COURSES

Introduction to Green Woodwork - 4 days

This course is designed to give participants confidence working in green wood with an axe and a knife. Suitable for complete beginners, those who have carpentry experience but are new to green woodwork, and those who have done a little green woodwork and would like to learn more.

The course is also an induction to the London Green Wood workshop and all participants are invited to continue using the workshop regularly, or ocassionally, after the course.

Thursday 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th April, 9 am - 4 pm. £200 (£150 concessions)

 

Stool making - Family course

Join this fun and creative family class to learn how to create a beautiful stool in wood from scratch. Little or no experience is required for this class; simply a desire to get stuck in and learn some fun and creative carpentry techniques. Each pair will make one stool together, and will be expertly guided through each individual process step by step. The finished stools will range from rustic to finely finished depending on the experience of each pair.

Wednesday 5th April, 9 am - 3 pm.

Park opening times

Abney Park is open from 8am year round and closes at varying times. 

The current opening hours are 8 am – 5 pm daily.

 

The Visitors Centre

is usually open from
10am – 2pm,  
Monday to Friday,
though times vary
so please call before
making a special visit.
